Constantine & the Octopus Fan Club take over the Halifax Charity Gala!
Take a look at when we attended the 65th annual Halifax Charity Gala, home to our Fan Club No.3.
The 65th Halifax Charity Gala, June 10th 2023, Manor Heath Park
On Saturday 10th June, 2023, Manor Heath Park in Halifax hosted the 65th annual Halifax Charity Gala. As Halifax is home to our Octopus Fan Club No.3, we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to visit Halifax again, chat with the local community and even meet some Fan Club members in person!
Our Octopus stand allowed our Fan Club team to talk about all things Fan Club, plus our Energy Helpers were on hand to talk energy saving tips and all things Octopus Energy.
We also had a green powered Wind Tunnel game whereby community members were tasked with collecting as many green electrons (green balls!) as possible, whilst being blasted with wind fit for a turbine! Successful or not, those who took part were still able to grab themselves some sweets on the way out.
Thankfully, the weather was great. Community members were able to visit the stand, take a seat on a beanbag, soak up the sun and learn more about Fan Club and wind energy generation in their area.
Thank you to everyone who was able to visit our stand. We hope you learned a lot, but most importantly, we hope you had fun. Community really is at the heart of Fan Club, so we hope to attend many more events on future.

If you attended the Halifax Charity Gala theres no way you missed our giant Constantine inflatable and our green powered generator!
Constantine was a huge hit, taking constant selfies with the crowds.
We also used Green Power Hire to keep Constantine inflated and to power our wind tunnel game.
With our green powered wind tunnel game, community members could attempt to collect as many green electrons as possible. This was made slightly more difficult as the green electrons whizzed around them!
Sweet were on hand to congratulate or console those who took part.
Of course, it wouldn't be Octopus without some beanbags and places to chill out. With help from the sun, plenty of people were able to visit us take a comfy seat and learn more about the Octopus Fan Club.
