Institutional investor solutions
We work with institutional investors - including pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and endowments - to invest in renewable energy on their behalf.
Since 2017, we’re proud to have enabled our institutional investors to channel nearly £3bn into renewable energy.
We currently manage seven funds that are closed for investment and four funds that are open for investment. One of our funds open for investment - Octopus Renewables Infrastructure SCSp - was started through a commitment from the UK’s largest pension provider Nest. This fund is open for further institutional investment, and we expect to make significant additional investments over the decade ahead. The second open fund is our listed fund, Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust Plc (see below). The third and fourth open funds were both launched in 2023 - Octopus Energy Offshore Wind SCSp and Octopus Energy Transition SCSp. In November 2023, we were appointed as the Transitional Investment Manager on the Asian Energy Impact Trust Plc.

Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is focused on building and operating a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets in Europe.
Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT) is a closed-end investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange. ORIT is focused on building and operating a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets in Europe, with a focus on operational projects, assets in construction and construction-ready assets.
It is open to both retail and institutional investors. As with any publicly listed product, ORIT will place investors’ capital at risk, and you may not get back what you initially invested.
